Transportation from houston to galveston

Hello all!

My husband and I will be going on the April 9th cruise on Splendor of the Seas out of Galveston. We want to fly into Houston and stay in Galveston on Sunday night, what is the most reasonable priced way to get from Houston to Galveston? Thanks for your help!

MsRavenFan: Just finished doing this research for our DS for a March cruise on the Splendor. He is flying into Houston Hobby and the cheapest we found was the Super Shuttle at $15pp each way. If a round trip ticket is purchased upon arrival (ticket booth is just outside the baggage claim area), it should be slightly cheaper. Exact cost may vary dependent upon where you are staying.

It would help to know which airport. Hobby or Intercontinental?

 

Hobby has pretty reasonable shuttles from airport and is approximately 31 miles closer to Galveston.

 

If at Intercontinental lots of CC'ers rent one-way auto from Enterprise.

We are flying into Houston Hobby.....15$ each way isn't bad at all, I was expecting more because I thought Galveston was about an hour from Houston?
