early tender for private excursion?

We will be on Carnival Glory in March and have arranged a zip line, cave tubing tour through ncq adventure tours with Nacho and Cynthia. They come highly recommended from other cruisecritic members. They have advised us to try to get off on the first tender after arrival. Does anyone have any tips on how we can achieve this? I've read that the cruise lines somewhat reserve the first tenders for their own excursions. If anyone has experienced this problem, please enlighten me as to how you handled it. TIA

First of all , Carnival handled the Belize tendering very well I thought. There were plenty of smaller sized tender boats, and its such a short ride to the pier as well. The big tender-delays and problems we had were in our two prior stops...Cozumel (:( !) and Grand Cayman.

And yes, the ships tours (they announce many times, and its written in the Compass) get first priority.

We had a private excursion as well, but it worked out because of ships time/Belize time. We got ourselves that extra hour and we were fine.

Good luck
