Ravens Fan Posted February 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2007 Greetings, I could not find a "Hotel Discussion", so I'm hoping to get some information here. For the first time ever, we are sailing from Ft. Lauderdale. We commonly sail from Miami, and are familiar with those hotels. We are seeking info. on Ft. Lauderdale area hotels. I would like something at least 3 stars. Any recommendations? Any luck bidding? Thanks
wrp96 Posted February 4, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2007 Hotels for the Ft. Lauderdale Miami area are found under the North American Homeports, East Coast Departures board. Here's the link to that board: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=

This is the Renaissance by Marriott, which is directly across from the pier. It's the only 4* in that area. I have used Hotwire to book it twice, and have saved lots of $$$. Good luck. manmtnmike Posted February 6, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2007 Try the priceline thread we got Bahia Mar for $101 in Jan, 3* "choose your own bid". Had a great time, near port, but no free transfers and expensive food.
mutual Posted February 24, 2007 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2007 Last year Royal Caribbean booked us into the Renaissance before the cruise due to non-availability of flights from Phoenix on the day of the cruise. It was a very nice hotel and I would recommend it.

tweety33 Posted March 1, 2007 #7 Share Posted March 1, 2007 We booked at Sleep INN, in Dania, it si 3 miles from fll airport. They have free shuttle to & from airport and cruise terminal. I didn't want to spend $152 but it was the only place that had good reviews and in a safe area according to my research on reviews. Also good reviews on free cont. breakfast.
