gonecruising Posted July 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2004 Ship started letting people off with white tags first (early departure) about 11:30-11:45 AM. There were no rough seas at all...smooth as silk both ways-- up and down.
FinelyCruising Posted July 27, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2004 We were blessed with seas as calm as bath water and weather that was wonderful. Hopefully it will be for you too when you go. The ship pulls into port at about 8am and there is a lot of work to do to get the luggage out and into the terminal and it takes time. What is noce now is that you can stay in your cabin until 11 am and enjoy a keaisurely morning breakfast or last minute photo purchases. If you have a starboard balcony you can watch the whole ship unload the luggage and the contents and then reload the reations the ships for the next sailing. We saw some with early flight times get ushered off the ship quickly, it seemed easy enough for them. I still wouldn't book a flight before 11am. By the time the ship docks, and you hope its on time, and you get to the airport, I think 11 would be the earliest I'd venture.
