What Does a Butler DO Exactly???

Recommended Posts

We just got upgraded to a AB Penthouse on the Star and was wondering what a Butler does exactly?? We are just normal hard working Americans that have never had a Butler! :D Also, does anyone know what the amenities are of being in an AB category suite?

Thanks!!!

Cindy

the butler will return towels, dvd's, library books and anything else you may have, he'll also sort your laundry for the "laundry bag day". He'll bring food from any restaurant you choose. You will adore the AB suite, such luxury - it will be hard to cruise any other way. Make sure to tip your butler and concierge separately, as they are NOT included in the auto grat. Have fun and enjoy!!

According to Tim Curry, who played Wadsworth the Butler in the movie Clue (from the 80's): "I buttle sir." (love that movie...)

Thats right... a Butler buttles :)

Remember the butler from Arthur? LOL

The source was another cruise critic member who obtained the list from her travel agent. We're sailing in category AA Owner's Suite this Sat on the Wind - I called NCL to ask about the amenities and they do vary ship to ship.

We were in an AA on the Dawn Princess. They also had an impressive list of perks. The list was impressive- the reality wasn't. Our steward hadn't heard of some of the things listed, such as packing and unpacking service. We were to have a private portrait sitting, the photographers knew nothing about this. Access to the "elite lounge" for debarkation became a joke as we didn't have the right color card to be let in. If they hadn't offered these services, I never would have asked for them. Don't offer what you can't deliver.

Most of these amenities on NCL look pretty easy for them to handle, but I will be shocked if I get a warm face towel at embarkation! :)
