Belize time/Ship time?

Is Belize time one hour ahead of ship time or one hour behind? For example, if the excursion I booked in Belize asks that I be on land by 9am, would that be 10 on the ship? We will be there in March if that matters...:confused:

Belize time is one hour earlier, BUT many of the private excursions have already made the time adjustments when requesting you to be at port by a specific time. When we booked a private excursion, they were already quoting us a time that was ship time, not Belize time.

 

Contact the excursion company and ask them directly. If they told you 9 am they may be referring to 9 am ship time since they realize that many people have diffiuclty making the time adjustments. Verify directly with the company.
