I found my cruise on "cheapcaribbean.com" and it costs the same as going through RC. However, it includes their travel ins...

Has anyone used them or heard if it is reputable/good ins?

If I book through RC, I will end up paying $90 extra for ins...

Also, Cheap will not honor price drops unless it is within 24 hrs of booking..

That's the choice you have to make. Consider how much into the future the cruise is. If not for a while, the price may or may not go down, but you will not be able to get the lesser fare if the price decreases. I have never heard of the company. Many posters have gotten price decrease and RCCL to honor them.

yeah it is only 4 weeks away so I guess the real question is, if anyone knows about that company or has booked through them?? If I book through RC I was looking at travelguard ins..it was $45 per person.

There are wide discrepancies amongst travel insurance providers. Read the fine print--all of it. Make sure you know what they do and don't cover.

 

As for snagging online deals, I don't have the luxury of booking last-minute deals, so I go through a major Canadian TA cruise specialist. They've got significant influence with the cruise lines due to the sheer volume they pump out annually and I tend to get a complete worry-free package with no loose ends. Does it cost more? No, 'cause I book way ahead (Dec '07 on Liberty already booked) but even if it did the cost would be worth it.

 

The main thing, bnsilly, is that you're goin' cruising in 4 wks---lucky you!!!
