Fort Lauderdale hotel

Recommended Posts

Hello,

You are right off of 1-95, which is the main highway that would take you to downtown Ft. Lauderdale. You may be interested in areas called Las Olas Boulevard which has nice shops and cafes. Also Fort Lauderdale BeachPlace.

If you are interested in REALLY shopping, you may want to go to Sawgrass Mills Mall. This is a massive discount outlet mall. All of the name brand stores are there plus restaurants.

The concierge or front desk at the hotel would be able to give you directions to all of these areas.

There's little to nothing of any "tourist" value by the Marriott-North. It's actually wedged between a semi-industrial area, I-95 and a suburb of Fort Lauderdale.

Much BETTER to stay at Mariott Harbour Beach; right on the beach and near Port Everglades and a lot closer to Las Olas Blvd. However, it will be more expensive.

Also consider the Westin Diplomat in Hallandale (or is it Hollywood?)...a few miles south of Port Everglades, but also right on the beach and very nice property.

Have to agree with the previous poster.

You would be much better off @ The Marriott Harbor Beach. Without a doubt it the best Marriott in the area. It's also VERY close to the cruise ships at Port Everglades.

The Diplomat is also an exeptional hotel.
