Riley's Mom Posted February 7, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2007 Does anyone have photos of a family oceanview cabin on the Rhapsody or any RCCL ship. Also would like to hear your thoughts if you have stayed in one. Thanks so much. Carla
KeyOfSea Posted February 8, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2007 We did stay in one on Rhapsody. It had the two 'regular' beds (that can be put together and a pull out couch in that main room. There is also a separate smaller room across from the bathroom that has two bunks in it. But no doors - just curtains. It was fine for us but the next time we took the nearly grown kids with us, we opted for adjoining cabins to have two bathrooms. I hope that helps. monoptn Posted February 8, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2007 We stayed in one on the Mariner with our two boys and loved it. It had lots of space and the separate area with bunk beds and a tiny closet was nice. Any specific questions? I'll be glad to help if I can. In fact, we liked it so much we booked it again for this April. Lori in TN

QTMichele Posted February 8, 2007 #5 Share Posted February 8, 2007 On the Mariner, this cabin does NOT have a balcony, correct?
starlighter Posted February 8, 2007 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2007 Any problems with seasickness, noise, etc. since these cabins on Mariner are all the way in the front of the ship?
monoptn Posted February 8, 2007 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2007 Right, there is no balcony. There are only two of these rooms on each deck and they are on the very front of the ship. Nice big windows though where you could look out as we were approaching the islands. We didn't have any problems with seasickness. After the first night, I never felt the ship move at all. No noise either, really I think there are less people that come that far down your hall, just the other people that have rooms at the front. solly4 Posted February 8, 2007 #8 Share Posted February 8, 2007 We just had this room on the Mariner. We really liked it. We were right in the front with two big windows. I loved being able to look out and watch coming up on an island. It was beautiful! No problems with seasickness at all. The room is plenty big enough, but I will tell you it definately looks bigger in the pictures. It was nice to have the kids off in their own little room with bunks, and they loved it. Were you able to book this catagory cabin without being hassled by RCCL for minimum persons in room...Did that make sense??? Thanks, Carla Anyone have a photo fo this cabin? JJ2sail Posted February 9, 2007 #10 Share Posted February 9, 2007 If you really want the cabin, you can go ahead and book it, and just pay for five people. That is what we did with the RFS on Radiance, with only four of us going.
Riley's Mom Posted February 9, 2007 Author #11 Share Posted February 9, 2007 How can you just "pay for" five people if only four are going?? Don't you need names, personal info for each person in the cabin?? Thanks, Carla
JJ2sail Posted February 9, 2007 #12 Share Posted February 9, 2007 We just gave them a name, of a relative, they will be considered a no show at boarding. That is what RCI told us to do.
JJ2sail Posted February 9, 2007 #13 Share Posted February 9, 2007 Check the price of paying for 5 against the cost of 2 ocean view cabins, it may be a better deal to get two adjoining cabins, then you will have 2 bathrooms.
LisaGoeke Posted March 11, 2007 #14 Share Posted March 11, 2007 Click the link in my signature to see photos of the family oceanview stateroom on the Mariner. It was perfect for the six of us (2 adults and 4 young children).
