gso Posted February 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2007 My family will be on NCL Sun on the March 25th cruise out of New Orleans and we are going to Belize and Guatemala. I was wondering if there were any churches or charity groups that help local children that we could contact before the cruise. I know these are poor countries and I thought if there were some items we could bring in 1 or 2 suitcases. I was thinking small books, toys, or maybe things like Children's Tylenol. I'm not sure what is appropriate or if this is something that can even be done. Does anyone have any info that could help. I tried on line but could not find much. Thanks for any help you can offer. Don't know about Belize, but Gus in Guatemala collects school supplies for the kids there. It's part of his tour. He's very motivated to improve education there. I'm sure he'd love any donations you would have. You can contact him through his website at http://gowithgustours.com/.
