Docking in St. Maarten and getting to excursion on time

We're on CB in April and I'm looking at booking the Rhino Rider excursion independently. My cruise documents say we get into St. Maarten at 7:00 a.m. Is it reasonable to think I could make it to this excursion by 8:30. (I guess I need some advice from someone who's actually done the Rhino Rider thing and knows where it meets  )

Personally, I am not sure I would book a private tour of any kind that early. That would be cutting it quite close. Just because the ship is supposed to arrive by 7:00 AM does not mean it will or that you will be off the ship that early. I would look for a little later time to book a private excursion, just in case.
