Rental shuttle to Port Everglades pier (FLL)

I read somewhere that some rental companies offer a courtesy shuttle to the pier, like they do to the airport. Does anyone know which ones do?

Instead of a dozen differant car rental shuttle buses they all share a county operated bus service to take you from FLL to the pier. Cut's down on congestion and saves the car rental companies labor and fuel costs.

Are you talking about a shared courtesy shuttle service exclusively for rental car customers? If so, what about rental agencies with their cars or rental counters off-site?

Reading on these boards, posters have said the Thrifty on Miami Road (entrance to the port) and Budget in the Quay Plaza on SE 17th Street both have shuttles to the port. You can also drop those vehicles off at the airport with no penalty.

I am just wondering if the free shuttle is still available? We used it in 2006, and it was great. We are anticipating returning our car to Budget on the day of our cruise. If the shuttle still runs from FLL to Port Everglades, what time does it start?

 

Also, does it return from the port to get to FLL? If not, what rental options do we have that offer free transport? Does the Budget location (Quay) offer pick ups at the port?

We don't cruise till next year, but I always make the rental ressies early to get the best cost.
