Ports Barcelona and Venice

Recommended Posts

Could someone please tell me how far these ports are from the airport?

What is the best way to get there?

Also, does anyone know which airlines are the best to get from London to Barcelona and Venice to Rome? Has anyone heard about Air One?

Thanks:) :) :)

Here's the airport site for Barcelona and it gives info on getting to Barcelona town centre. Port is not far from bottom of Las Ramblas and there's a bus goes from there to the port. When I was there in 2005 I took a cab from the airport to the hotel on Las Ramblas and then on the way back used angie's taxis. http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/airport/barcelona-airport.html

I flew toronto to Gatwick and then used easyjet from Gatwick to Barcelona. No complaints. Got to the airport on the return a lot early than expected and was able to change onto the earlier flight. I would suggest checking what has the best luggage allowance if you don't plan to travel light.

Sorry, no info on rome.

This website gives info on transportation to/from Venice airport. If you are not on a budget, the water taxi is the most convenient, other than the ship's transfer. I took the bus from Piazzale Roma, but I selected a hotel in this area to make it easier.

There are links on the website for water transportation as well as land transport.
