teresa222 Posted February 12, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2007 We are wanting to take the same cruise we took last year, since we enjoyed it so much! I walk with a cane and am just going to stay on the ship when we port (Cozumel, Mexico and Costa Maya), My friend is going to stay on the ship too. Will we need passports? pamcdon Posted February 12, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 12, 2007 If you would have to fly back to the United States for any reason, you would need a passport. They are required on air flights back into the United States. :)
bankerbabe Posted February 12, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 12, 2007 If you had an emergency and had to unexpectedly return to the US via air, you would need a passport. I would recommend getting one.

dforeigner Posted February 13, 2007 #6 Share Posted February 13, 2007 If you had an emergency and had to unexpectedly return to the US via air, you would need a passport. I would recommend getting one. In addition, the airlines will not let you board without a passport since they have to fly an individual back if for whatever reason, entry in the US is denied. ""The U.S. Government will require all of our guests (including U.S. citizens) to be in possession of a valid passport when traveling on any Carnival cruise. Foreign nationals should contact their respective governments to obtain further details. This requirement will become effective no later than June 1, 2009.""
