PhoneGoddess Posted February 15, 2007 #28 Share Posted February 15, 2007 I will never again dance on the bar in a foreign port while being extremely intoxicated and then try to balance myself and in doing so, expose WAY too much!!!! And if it does ever happen again, I'll make sure that BF doesn't have the camera with him and shows everyone back home the pictures! Not Nice!:D

SeasideMermaid Posted February 15, 2007 #31 Share Posted February 15, 2007 no carnival excursions! Why do you say that? I know they're probably a bit pricer, but they're just easy for me.

bguppies Posted February 15, 2007 #34 Share Posted February 15, 2007 Might start skipping the dining room on a permanent basis. 1st cruise we did the dining room all but the last night.(skipped it to assure making the show) Last cruise we didn't want to be bothered with lugging all the formal wear, so we knew we were skipping the formal night. We wound up skipping the dining room every night and had the best time, being able to eat, exactly whenever we felt like eating a meal or getting a snack. Until Carnival wises up and adopts some freestyle dining like other lines, we will probably continue to eat and snack when and where we please from here on..... MamaParrotHead Posted February 15, 2007 #37 Share Posted February 15, 2007 Go to bed at 10:00, no matter how busy or "fun and sun-filled" my day was (I will be taking naps to stay up later to party) Go on any more Carnival excursions, unless it's something I can't book myself Watch my DH drink any milk from cartons without smelling it first
Nightwind Posted February 15, 2007 #38 Share Posted February 15, 2007 *sigh* Apparently, I will no longer book anything but a Cat 12, at least until I'm platinum. Went and spoiled myself with that VIP check-in (and the spacious cabin!) on Elation last week. And I thought it was bad just being spoiled for balconies... *sigh, headdesk* Besides that, no more bingo. You'd think I'd learn that I will never, ever win. :p
Fancy_Goods Posted February 15, 2007 #39 Share Posted February 15, 2007 Allow so-called friends to invite themselves along on my long waited and long planned vacation! imacruzinma Posted February 16, 2007 #40 Share Posted February 16, 2007 ..share a cabin with my parents. I'll pay the single supplement if I have to. I deserve a comfy bed and not one of those cement slabs they call a pull-out. :o I'll never book a cruise with my kids in the same cabin! For just a little extra $, it's worth the sanity of space, comfort, potty privacy and midnight sex.

HapiFeet Posted February 16, 2007 #47 Share Posted February 16, 2007 ... rent a scooter in a foreign country. I crashed mine on Grand Turk, the first of four snorkeling ports on our eastern Caribbean cruise. I ended up with broken ribs, a sprained ankle and an infection in my scraped leg from the toxic mud I landed in. I couldn't even go into the water! But we met some great people and laughed ourselves silly, so all was not lost.

Marmarjudy Posted February 16, 2007 #50 Share Posted February 16, 2007 We now know to never again wait to ask for a different table/wait team in the dining room when the service is really bad and the food is not much better and also cold, even when asked for replacement. We were "out of practice" when sailing on the Legend because we had sailed Princess with the anytime dining the prior 6 cruises. We hesitated to complain because, positive people that we are, we thought the dining experience would get better and, of course, it just got worse, so bad that we skipped the dining room the last night. The bad dining room experience tainted the whole cruise and blew our "try Carnival again after several years" idea. We were disappointed. We are trying Carnival/Conquest again in Novemember and now know to speak up, as we used to do prior to Princess......I hope there is no need!
