Pack beach towels?

We have a couple of the fast drying mircofiber towels. We always bring them for a couple of reasons -

1) they absorb a ton of water

2) they are fairly thin and hardly take up any space in suitcase or tote to carry off the ship (about the size of a men's T shirt rather than a man's sweater or small blanket)

3) they are not the same towels that the rest of free world has so it's easy to find your deck chair, ect

You will be fine with the towels on the ship if you choose.

I pack very light in general but I still prefer to bring my own ligtweight thin towel for carrying in my bag to go on land with.

The Princess towels are fine, they are not too bulky yet I find them too thick to carry around off ship. They take up too much space in my day bag to carry around with me.

Most climates are so warm, you dont need a thick towel ... all you need is a thin one, thats why I bring my own.
