snownyet Posted February 15, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2007 We sail only in march or september and have always had fantastic weather. Expect Air and water temperatures in the 80's.

lulybellsea Posted February 16, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2007 I'll post to this thread, too. We've never booked a Caribbean cruise in September because of hurricane season. However, we are itching to book the Adventure out of San Juan on Sept. 9th. Balconies start at $747 which is the lowest we've ever seen. We love to hear more about your experience crusing in September. Rain? Rough seas? Thanks very much.

Its only rough if there is a hurricane that is close...in 03 when Isabeal was a cat 5 were in the western Caribbean and never felt a thing - last year we were going to eastern caribbean and there was two smaller huricanes about 750+ miles away, we didn't feel a thing. Go - buy insurance and have fun ....just be prepared to have your ports of call changed, they may decide to take you west and you have to just go with the flow. BTW Summer time is when the ocean is flat - june - sept During the winter is when you get rough seas more often than not.
