ShrinkinTexas Posted February 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2007 Has anyone ever done the cenote at Cuzama? Here is a link telling about it. http://www.yucatantoday.com/destinations/eng-daytrip-cuzama.htm It looks pretty cool! I was wondering how it is. Also how much would cab prices be from Progresso to Merida (and back) and then from Merida to Cuzama (and back)? Can't wait! Thanks.
back2disney Posted May 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2007 I was wondering the same thing, but would visit Uxmal and then do the cenotes at Cuzama. I would have 8 hrs in Progresso from the Cruise ship to do this.
hdawson Posted May 7, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 7, 2007 According to my hardcopy of Yucatan Today, the taxi fare from the Fiesta Americana in Merida is $25.00. RT bus is $3.00.
ShrinkinTexas Posted May 14, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted May 14, 2007 The cenotes were wonderul!!!! BUT---------------we almost missed our ship!!!!! We were the very last people on the ship and they were yelling at us to hurry up. As soon as we got back on, the pulled that walkway up. The bus is not a 30 minute ride, promise!!!! From the bus station in Progresso to the bus station in Merida, it is one hour each way. The ride was not bad, just many stops along the way to let people on and off. Then, the Yucatan Today says it's only 45 minutes to Cuzama, maybe on a good day, but it tooks us over an hour from the bus station in Merida. We didn't have a whole lot of time at the cenotes. It was wonderful, but we were hurried.
