cruisinmaymay Posted July 29, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2004 We leave in the morning for the Glory... How is the Fun Pass thing? Is it quicker? Does it really even get used? and What time will they let us in to the parking area? Finally, do they have Tempora on baord? I think this is Japenese and the only thing on board is Chinese, right? vesw01 Posted July 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2004 having not gone on a Carnival Cruise - I can only speak from what I was told. The fun pass is supposed to expediate your check in process and my TA told me it is the best thing to do. From the boards it seems like each dock has pros and cons - check out some of the reviews from the Glory and that should help you out

Tempura is Japanese fried food. The batter is very light and airy. BnB
mirrajay Posted July 29, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2004 I believe you are refering to tempura which is definetly a Japanese dish (deep fried vegetables and seafood for anyone who is curious) and will probably not be on the ship if they say they only serve Chinese food. However, if your ship has a sushi bar (which is obviously Japanese also), then you MAY be in luck! ~Carey
Devoli Posted July 29, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 29, 2004 The Fun Pass line may be a bit quicker, but I would not sweat it. It all goes quick and everyone is in good spirits b/c you are on VACATION! I have never run into a parking problem at the piers, but we have come when people are disembarking and vacating spaces. Maybe space is limited prior to disembarking....?
