Places to stay in Hollywood, Florida prioir to cruise in Nov 2007--We have looked at both the Alantic Sands and the Manta Ray (both on the board walk). Any thoughts as to which one would be better??? Would like to have places to eat, get coffee, and beach activities. We are travling with 8 people---ages 80 to 20, so we have many intrests. Please reply.....trying to book our rooms because it will be over Thanksgiving 2007. Thank you, Wendy:)

The Manta Ray is directly on the broadwalk looking directly out to the ocean, the Atlantic Sands is on a side street a short walk to the broadwalk. The Atlantic Sands has many restaurants within walking distance, the Manta Ray is isolated. I would pick the Manta Ray for that reason. Sounds like you'd have to pick Atlantic Sands for the other reason. The good thing though is both properties are on or near the nicest beach in South Florida. ;)

ps...I'd check out the Sea Downs, Tides or Beaugainvilla in Hollywood Beach all run by the same family. It's located on the north section of Hollywood Beach, close enough for walking to restaurants, far enough away from the same for peace and quiet.
