Daylight Saving time in Belize?

I just realized that DST happens the first night of our cruise (it falls earlier this year - March 11.) Does anyone know if Belize goes to DST? Or will they remain in Central Standard time. I would sure hate to miss the ship by an hour! Thanks!

It doesn't specifically name Belize, but it looks like the US and Canada are alone in the area for changing to DST earlier. It may be that Belize never observed DST. I would definitely check before I got off the ship. We will be there the week after the change, so at least we'll have time to check into it. Have a great trip!

According to Coral Breeze, Belize is on central time and does not

observe DST. We have an excursion booked with them and they

were very careful to advise us of the time difference.

Belize will be two hours behind ship time: i.e. 7am ship time will be 5am Belize time
