We will be in Nassau this weekend and were wondering how close the Ardastra Gardens are to the dock? We do not want to take the excursion Carnival offers....has anyone done this on their own? What would a taxi cost?

any info is appreciated.

It's a nice place. Admission I think around $12 U.S. for adults. Don't miss the "marching flamingos". You can also do lory feeding for a small donation, get pictures taken with exotic birds, and there is a decent gift shop. Nice selection of smaller animals including parrots and exotic birds, reptiles, and mammals up to jaguar and capybara. Enjoy - I will be in Nassau next week and plan to revisit.

we are going to Nassua in June and are planning to go to The Gardens, From what I understand its fairly easy to get to either walking or you can get a taxi but a cheaper route is to catch the Number 10 jitney (the local bus system) and it drops you off fairly close and its $1 one way i believe sitll havnt decide if we are going to do this or just enjoy a nice walk over.
