We have been assigned to Legend of the Seas, Deck 2, Room 2083, Category N. Has anyone ever stayed near or in this room? On the RCI website it shows it as a handicap accessible room. Is this larger than normal rooms. Does anyone know what is on Deck 1 near this area? I really appreciate any info.

I was on Deck 2 on my 3/2006 sailing. I dont remember our room, but it was midship. The deck was wonderful and quiet for us. Deck 1 is where you depart off the boat if I recall. Personally I thought Deck 2 was a wise choice on that particular ship. I would stay on Deck 2 again if I sail Legend.

Your bathroom and walkways should be larger in a handicapped room, but if you dont need the handicapped room, I would try and switch to another room and let someone that may need that room book it. On my honeymoon I had an injury right before our sailing and my wedding, and was in a wheelchair. Our ship was sold out and I couldnt switch to a handicapped room so it was REALLY tough manuevering around in the normal bathroom. Just a thought. There should be other rooms on Deck 2 available for you to switch.

Legend was a great cruise. I hope you have fun!

Thanks for the information. Just to be clear we did not choose the handicapped accessible room. We purchased the Gty Z so we did not get a choice in what stateroom was assigned by RCCl. This is our first cruise and I'm not sure how they assign staterooms.
