sasisu Posted July 30, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2004 We are thinking of taking the Crown to Bermuda next year. Would appreciate any thoughts or comments from past passengers on the Crown. Just got off the Dawn and absolutely loved that ship. Thanks
Manor Posted July 30, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2004 The crown is nothing like the dawn, its much much smaller and ten years older. That said it provides a very nice cruise to Bermuda where it serves as a floating hotel. The food was just about the same as the Dawn altho the choice of places to eat are less. All in all we had a great trip on both ships and so will you.
rosebudstreasures Posted August 2, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 2, 2004 After sailing on the Dawn you will be disappointed with the Crown. I posted a short review. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=62076
laodell Posted August 2, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2004 We were on the July 4 sailing on the Crown to Bermuda. We really enjoyed the Crown and Bermuda. Yes, the ship is small but the only complaint we had about the smallness is the lack of deck space around the pool. It was nice to be able to dock in Hamilton and St. George and be able to walk right off the ship into town without having to ferry anywhere. It saved a lot of time. If you're on a larger ship going to Bermuda, you will dock in King's Wharf, which isn't bad, just farther away from everything.
SeaTrailer Posted August 2, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 2, 2004 We had a ball! The Crown was wonderful. I will be posting a detailed report in a few days but would recommend this cruise to anyone. Not having sailed on the Dawn I have nothing to compare with.
