NCLinda Posted February 23, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2007 We will be in Barbados MArch 8th. Silver Moon is booked and has me on a waiting list. Does anyone know of another tour company I should check into? There are 8 of us. Thanks!
Rustynail Posted February 23, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2007 That's too bad since the Silver Moon in my opinion is the best in Barbados. My understanding is that Cooling Runnings the second most popular catamaran operation in Barbados. It's a fabulous day! Good luck.
sunandfunatsea Posted February 23, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2007 Sailing on the Crown Princess - 3/24 - Barbados 3/26 I sent found between 10-15 catamaran tours online. The cruise excursion Tiami is full and so I checked with Silvermoon - no room for 9 people. Good comments form this site must really help. Other recommended tour is from Small Cats - they cannot accomadate either. They both responded which was rare for these tour companys when they cant make money. SO hats off to those two. I continued my search... I emailed Silvermoon and they recommended El Tigre and Captain Ron. I contacted El Tigre ... again booked. I finally reached Captain Ron who called my home and chatted long distance for almost 30 mins. He gave me great information and great customer service. So I decided to book with him. I am hoping to have the same experience with the cruise. Has anyone cruised with Capt. Ron ? If so please let me know how it was.... http://barbadosahoy.com/wasntme.htm 4 to 5 days after I put all my feelers out and settled with Capt. Ron... Stletto and Good Times got back to me that they had availability. Wish me luck... I am sure I wont need it ;) J-
skolega Posted February 23, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2007 Try Shasa. I have heard good things about them. We did the turtles on our own though. Look for my review below. It is easy and cheap to do. One suggestion if you are not a strong swimmer would be to rent a kick board or take along a blow up mattress to use while swimming with the turtles. Just leave it behind when you go.
