princess402 Posted February 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2007 I am sailing the Sovereign of the Seas to the Bahamas at the end of April. I am booked on Deck 3 and my mom is currently on Deck 8. I want to make sure her cabin is good for her, and I'm also wondering if I should upgrade myself. I was going to ask about the "obstructed views" on Deck 8 of the Sovereign but I have seen a few threads answering that for me. But I'm still wondering: 1) Is there any extra noise or intrusive lights on Deck 8 considering that the Deck 7 promenade is right below? 2) Would it be better to be forward or aft on this deck? There's not much left available at this point if I want to upgrade but there's a group of cabins left vacant at the forward end for the cruise, and a few at the back, and I'm just wondering why those seem to be the last to go. Thanks so much for helping a Newbie - I promise to give a review when I come back!
ruttie Posted February 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2007 I prefer Aft the Aft elevators are almost never as busy as teh forward ones are plus you are closer to the spa, VCL and shows.....
PH8 Posted February 24, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2007 I would say aft too........ and no,there isnt any extra noise or light from deck 7 below...... I would take deck 8 over 3 anyday....besides it is cheaper too!
