How to rent a car at Georgetown harbor?

Can anyone help us out here? We've heard that Thrifty has a downtown location. Can anyone verify, and if so, how close to the tender pier is it? Or if anyone else has other good recommendations for car rentals (like a company that delivers or a company located at the pier), we'd appreciate it. We don't want to have to go back and forth to the airport to get a car--not enough time on shore as it is. Also, we're not interested in using taxis all day as we plan to make several stops at some out-of-the-way places. THANK YOU!!

Generally, you're going to have to pick up the car elsewhere. No one has cars right at the dock.

 

Cayman Auto Rentals has a shop within short walking distance north of the cruise terminals. They might have a few cars available on site if you just walk up, but their lot is small and I'm not sure where they normally keep their rental fleet. Far better to call ahead for a reservation. 345-949-1013

 

Others are generally located at the aiport or with reservations desks at some of the major hotels.
