I have searched the Ports of Call thread of St Martin and found no info on Princess excursion "Best of St Maarten Island Tour & Beach. has anyone been on this tour, or is self guided the best route. Ideally we are looking for info on Marigot, where is the best place to go for lunch.

We did not use a ship sponsored tour the only time we were in St. Martin. When we got off the ship (6 or us) we went to the taxi stand. For $300 or so we had a tour of the entire island with stops at Orient beach, the butterfly farm and the zoo. We had our grandchildren with us so the zoo was especially for them. It was actually very good. The tour took about 6 hours and we thought it was fairly priced given the time, the opportunity to set our own itinerary and that we were in a new van with a/c and a good driver/guide.
