Closest nice beach to Nassau port?

We have always gone to the beach in front of the Sheraton Hotel. I don't even know if it's a Sheraton any more. We get a taxi at the pier and it takes us to the pathway beside the Sheraton. You can rent umbrellas, chairs, etc and get goodies from the snack bar. There are people who offer to braid your hair, etc, but it's not too obnoxious and they go away with a polite "no thank you". There are water activities there such as the banana boat, etc. and the beach is very nice.

We took the boat taxi to the Atlantis and went to the public beach to the right of the hotel. It leaves close to the ship, just ask. A lot of people do the same. There was not a sign to the beach, so just walk through the trees. You can rent a chair. There was a reasonably priced convenience store on the right side of the street as you go towards the casino. It's less than a ten minute walk from where you get off the taxi. Good luck.

Thank you so much. I will look into both. Would it be a real pain to go back and forth to Paradise Island twice in a day, once for beach going and once to go to the casino later on? I tried to book a room at Atlantis for the single date that we will be in port and wasn't able to.
