HookedAfterOne Posted February 27, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2007 We are sailing on the Summit ... our itinerary while in Hawaii is ... Hilo, Maui, Honolulu then Kona ... based on the itinerary ... when do you think we will be passing by the lava flow (between which ports?) and which side of the ship will the best viewing be? I understand that under some circumstances the captain turns the ship so that both sides get a good view ... I'm just wondering if I need to position myself up on deck somewhere or if I will have a good view from my stateroom's balcony. Our stateroom is one of the corner aft FV's. Any replies are appreciated!

Any replies are appreciated! Depends on which path the Summit takes. The 1st itinerary you will not see the Lava flows. The 2nd you likely will have a chance. Go the the Celebrity home page and check out the itinerary you will be on. Look at the itinerary and see if it says Mount Kilauea - Evening Sail -- check out the direction of the arrows on the map and you will have an idea which side of the ship.
