Augcruise Posted July 31, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2004 Ok I know this has somewhat been discussed but here is my question. We are going on the Sensation 8/21 My two kids have saved $150.00 that we told them they needed to save to be able to open their own s&S card (we were going to put the extra $50 for tips) This is a 5 day cruise and they say you need $200 for 5 days. But I realized today that if they put all this money down they will not have money in port. So........ Can we put their s&S card on our credit card but with a limit (they can give us the cash in advance so they will set their own limit - I'm thinking $50 or $75 - my son will play video games and my daughter loves to shop - we also will not but them a soda card). Has anyone done this?
TheTravelista Posted July 31, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2004 Whenever my family and I cruise we always use a credit card behind it. I know for cash there is a minimum limit of $150.00 and I think you can also establish a limit when using a credit card but there's no way they would allow a limit of $75.00. I'll check http://www.carnival.com for you though.
HOSKI Posted July 31, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2004 I've seen a lot of discussion on here that Carnival does let you limit a child's sail and sign or lets you put a small amount down. They know that mom and dad are paying the major stuff.
TheTravelista Posted July 31, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2004 They dont let you limit it. They let you make it inactive though, meaning that it cannot be used to purchase anything and only serves as a boarding pass and room key.
