Captian Chatty rocks in Cabo!

I have never had this parking spot in my life...our aft is so close to Los Arcos I could jump of the ship and swim to lovers beach!

Unbelievable! I wish we had a web cam on our aft for all of you to see...

It is breathtaking and no matter how many times I have been here I am constantly in awe of what Mother Nature can do!

BTW, we area actually sitting on San Andreas...it doesn't look like earthquake weather though! It's bright, sunny and warm

We arrived early and he started tendering by 8:10am. we have now tendering 111 pax and it's been 20 minutes.

Adios mi amigos!

Hi...what do you know about the suites at stern? We are booked for

C747 on 7 day San Diego-Mexico cruise and wonder what this mini suite,

the largest of the minis, will be like. Loved the regular mini suites with the bathroom shower looking out to sea in past, but thought we'd thy the

stern suite, which is larger. Like to hear any opinions. Thanks.

We just got off the Dawn on the 27th, and stayed in C747! I have some photos if you want me to email them to you. It's a great suite...I loved it! So much storage room, and Jose the room attendant the best!!! Say hi to him from Leah and Wayne the anniversary couple! I'll answer any specific questions you have :)

Latitude...

Looks like the ship swung around, cause on the web cam now, there is a beautiful shot of los arcos! Ah memories!

SuiteJunkie...

The bed and bedding in C747 are wonderful! Very nice! And the curtain between the bedroom and livingroom does pull all the way across....despite other reports.

Hi Latitude,

Thanks for checking on the bars for me. The one I'm thinking of is at the back of the ship just above the small round pool near the gym. I think it's on the Lido deck.

Thanks

we have a similiar ship history with Royal Viking Lines, Fairsea, infinity, star, sea, dawn...i see no Royal Cruise Line for you..most unfortunate you weren't able to experience them...

at a later date would love to get feedback about the new Pacific Princess

The itinerary for Europe in 2008 that Susie posted on another thread that has malta, montenegro, ravenna...i think rome to venice has got my DH's interest...providing all goes well with his 1st sailing on the star...

he's been pouring over the 2007 cruise atlas like it was the

Sears wish book and we were 5 years old again...:D

anyway, i've never sailed on the Pacific..it's a size I would love, but I'm a little concerned about taking him from the Star down to the Pacific.

Let's chat later if you wouldn't mind!

Latitude 22, I wouldn't mind at all. It's always a joy to talk to someone about cruising, especially if we have shared ships. I really loved the size of the Pacific. When you get back to land feel free to email me at caroleemily@hotmail.com.

Enjoy your last 2 days! And thanks for the name of the Captain.

well it has been a joy following your cruise and kudos to you for being so diligent to keep us landlubbers updated!

DW has been following as well and needless to say we are very excited and looking forward to our cruise even more. not sure how much more of a review one can post, however, if you choose to post one, we will read it from beginning to end.

again thanks and hope you enjoy your last few days aboard.

Good Morning!

We are heading north....and it's obvious :( the wind speed increased and the temp decreased!

Let's see what to share....

Yesterday, I stayed onboard as I just done all of my favorites in December. and really our view was breathtaking!

For anyone who hasn't been to Cabo, I always recommend the boat tour it's a must. I rarely recommend restaurants because these can change very quickly depending on the chefcook that is working that day. However, the fajitas at the Giggling Marlin melt in your mouth...grilled chicken, shrimp or beef with almost carmelized onions, peppers and little pieces of bacon there's a reason they melt in your mouth and you roll your eyes upward as you take the 1st bite...I know the secret ingredient...

Bacon fat

well, it's not like you have been having a little of that on the ship the past couple of days...so go ahead order their killer margarita and have a bite and don't forget the guacomole and the refried beans...YUMMY

So my private lesson for Adam went well. We have a new computer that is Vista with Photoshop 5 and new DVD making software. Adam gave me a great lesson (using his personal laptop that has Vista) on the new Windows Movie Maker and then we quickly covered a few things about touch ups and filters (could play with those for hours). I would say it was worth it. He is new to Princess and is still finding his way as a newbie Princess teacher. My best advice is to have scenarios on what you want photoshop to do for you..this will peak your interest..have him teach you the skills you need to get to that point..then you will have the interest to pick up a few photshop for dummie type books at home and learn more later.

I'm going to post so I dont lose this....

the year before I did a lot of Christmas shopping at THE SALE when I was on my Caribbean cruise because

Latitude 22,

Thanks again for the post. We will be leaving tomorrow for S.F. in preparation of boarding the Dawn on Saturday. Have you tried the steak house and if so any advice on wait staff? Also I want to try and make a couple of reservation when we get on board but I don't want to make the mistake of booking on lobster night. Could you tell me which night the lobster will be served. I believe in one of your post you also mentioned something about the casino offering poker tables. Do you know what size games they play. 2/4, 4/8/, 5/10 etc. Just curious no big deal.

Thanks again , have a great last few days.

CruisinChris posted this on another thread. How about checking this out and getting back to us..

A recent memo, three weeks ago, went out to all bar staff (all ships) providing them with instruction that COSMOS and APPLE MARTINIS, two of the most popular martinis on board (particularly among women) should be made at 1.5 oz (all other martinis are 3 oz.) and served in special smaller glasses in ALL bars except the designated martini bar (Crooners, aka Atrium bar) where full 3 oz portions will continue to be served. The smaller versions being served in the bars are still being charged at $6.25!!! The menus in the venues serving the smaller martinis DO NOT tell you that you are getting a half portion. I discovered this when we were served a lemontini and a cosmo side by side in the Shooting Stars disco. The glass is smaller, but if you're not really paying attention, or didn't see the two glasses side by side, you might not notice. I spoke to my server, then to the bar manager when it became apparent that this wasn't some kind of mistake. She brought the Food & Beverage manager to me (in another venue) and we discussed it further.

um....are you providing funding for this indepth research?

how to get a free martini....

go to the martini demonstration STAND... VERY close to the front...the cruise staff asks trivia questions..you if answer 1st you win the martini they are currently making...

i actually had to THINK to win this...brush up on your roman numerals..

the almond martini will provide a 3 hour nap..

THE SALE...well, it was wimpy...compared to others ..they are almost out of logo stuff...a few alaska things remain, most items were bijoux terner for 10 bucks.

ciao ciao for now!

Hi Lattitude.. I have a question.. Do you know if Al is still the head of the bar staff. He is usually in the Wheelhouse at night. thanks

and... I know you said the temps were cooler...more importantly.. have your seas remained calm.

DO NOT on hijack this thread...this is all I know!

Martini Memo...

I am providing info on what is on the DAWN at this moment on this itinerary.

I went to 3 bars including the atrium I compared glasses at each one, I spoke with waitstaff and bartenders.

Your size information is correct.

Pricing on the smaller size is now $5.50

Hope this helps!

More later...

not sure about Bartendar...Al...

this is a tough job...

bar research...morning, noon and night...

our seas have remained calm...

which bums me out a little bit...because I REALLY like to be rocked to sleep and that has not happened on this cruise and i'm practically in the bow....

Fortunately for my fellow passengers I haven't run into Captain Marco..or I would have requested a little rock a bye baby..add a soft volume of Bocelli from the sailing into Venice commerical and I would be out for at least 10 hours

So the enrichment lecture is

What media affects our society..

I will be passing on that one...

how to ruin my zen state in less than 30 seconds.

BTW, it's 64 degrees out with wind of 20 knots...we will be passing into the United States at 9am tomorrow....

there is no cell phone service at this time...

Adios mi amigos!
