lmcd Posted March 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2007 I am taking a Prince William Sound tour and cruise. Need to get to Seward afterwards to begin a land tour the next morning. What are my options? thanks
MeganMamaw Posted March 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2007 I have researched several options pricing from $225 up to $450 for a party of 4. The least expensive is alaskatransportation.net . Someone else from this forum told me about them and recommended them. Also someone said to try P.J.'s Taxi out of Seward. Good Luck!
bayview97 Posted March 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2007 We're taking PJ's Taxi from Whittier to Seward after our cruise in June. We are party of 4 and made arrangements last November. They gave us the 2006 price which was $200 + $12 tunnel fee. Renee mentioned there would be a price increase this year. Also, make note that they only take cash. Have fun on your trip! tkwbear Posted March 4, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 4, 2007 If you aren't pressed for time, I suggest taking a train or bus from Whittier to Anchorage, then renting a car and driving to Seward. It will cost you an extra couple of hours, but that drive is beautiful, so you won't mind. Hertz and possibly other rental agencies do one-way rentals. If you plan to return to Anchorage afterwards, make sure you get a rental with unlimited free mileage, as the one-ways do have a mileage charge.
