mikvie Posted March 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2007 We went in November. It was great! It is better if you have driven a boat before, as the 1st. part of the trip is through mangroves that require you to go quitw fast through a small chanell. Lots of wild life and the boats are top notch. All have 40HP. motors. If there is a problem, tour guides are in a large lead boat.

want2know Posted March 11, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 11, 2007 We did this tour on February 28th and my husband thought it was the best tour ever. Both of us got a chance to captain our boat, which is very easy to manuever. (Liked the boat so much we checked into them once we got home - about $14K brand new. Shucks!!!) If you like getting away from the hustle and bustle of the tourists and getting close to nature, you cannot go wrong with this tour. It was $65 per person, but you definitely got your money's worth. Each boat could hold up to three people, but everyone in our group were couples, so only two per boat. The guides were A-1 in making sure everyone was safe and got a chance to see the various wildlife and explained the various vegetation. They stayed in communication with each boat via radio answering any questions you may have. Very relaxing but still had a chance to speed through the mangroves on the way back. Enjoyed it, enjoyed it, enjoyed it!!! This tour can be found at the Belize.com website as a link through Coral Breeze and Hammerhead Sports. Or coralbreeze.com.
