Muumuu Posted July 31, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2004 Is there a Catholic Church close to the port or near the downtown area? Thank you
bjkeen Posted July 31, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2004 There are several Catholic churches in Tampa. There is a large Catholic Church on Hwy. 60 (east of down town) in Brandon. I don't know for sure but I believe there is a Catholic church in Palma Ceia (west of down town). Both areas are approx. 30 minutes from the port. If you are staying in a hotel I'm sure they will have phone books with yellow pages.

JerseyShore64 Posted July 31, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2004 Christ the King is about 5 miles away in South Tampa. Nativity is on Hwy 60 in Brandon, and its about 15 miles away. St. Lawrence is on Himes and is probably about 6 miles. The closest would be St. Lawrence... It's a really young parrish, a lot of energy.
cruiserlisa Posted July 31, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2004 There are two Catholic churches near the port. One is downtown Tampa called Sacred Heart. It is one of the oldest Catholic Churches in Tampa. There is another one in Ybor City called Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Lisa
