GCS-LifeIsGood Posted March 5, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2007 I'll be in FLL on 03/12 for a cruise departing on 03/13. I am unfamiliar with the area but have come across 15th Street Fisheries for dinner. Can anyone give a review or advice about this restaurant? Is it any good? I am disabled, is it wheelchair accessible?
PoohUnderstands Posted March 5, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2007 Used to be good, now not so much; yes, as all restaurants have to be, it is handicapped accessable. What exactly are you interested in the most? The food, the ambiviance, both? There are, IMHO, much better places to consider than 15th st. GCS-LifeIsGood Posted March 6, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted March 6, 2007 Thanks PoohUnderstands. I guess I'm looking for a good seafood restaurant close to the Renaissance Ft. Lauderdale (on 17th street).
Bequia Posted March 6, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 6, 2007 A bit pricey but close to your hotel is a restaurant called FISH. It's been receiving very good reviews in the SoFla press. http://www.fish-fl.com/
donato Posted March 6, 2007 #5 Share Posted March 6, 2007 15th street fishery is ok. I wouldn't go back. Very close to your hotel is the Bimini Boat Yard, not fine dining but nice, fun, should be seafood. We had stone crabs there in Oct. when the season just opened and they were good and not TOO expensive. But stone crabs are just served chilled, they are not a complex dish. GCS-LifeIsGood Posted March 8, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted March 8, 2007 Thanks Donato. This looks to be right beside our hotel. I'll check it out.
