Ship's tours selling out

We have heard from a friend of a friend just off the Barcelona to Venice Cruise that some of the tours offered by Oceania were sold out by the time they got on board. Does anyone out there have any verification of this or experience in booking the tours. We don't want the Discovery or Explorer package but were planning on booking Florence, Rome and a few others.

Experienced Oceania cruisers please fill us in!

Thanks,

Barbara

I doubt there is any way tours can be sold out before you get on board..only the packages can be sold before hand..maybe they are waiting to long to book after they are sailing....

Barbara,

I was on that cruise and no tours were sold out that early. I believe the only one that sold out was one in Venice and it was just one time slot. I did love the cruise but I thought the ship tours were crowed and way over priced.
