missmaine Posted March 7, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2007 My husband and I are cruising on the CB on June 17th and have signed up for three excursions, but could use some advice. My husband signed up for the New Waves Scuba course in St Maarten and we have both signed up for the Historical harbor cruise and beach and the sea blaster boat and snorkeling in St Thomas. Are these good choices? We are new to snorkeling and scuba diving. Also, the historical harbor cruise and the sea blaster boat are scheduled back to back. The sea blaster is from 9-12:30 and then the harbor cruise is from 1-4 on the same day. They both leave from the dock where the ship is. Is this too close a connection with a chance we might not get back in time for the second excursion. As first time cruisers, we can use all the help we can get. thanks
melgray13 Posted March 7, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2007 I have not done the exact excursions you are looking at. However, I would say most of the excursions I've been on do run over 20 or 30 mins. Typically the operators offer to drop folks off in shopping areas, stop for a few photo stops, etc. Also, keep in mind you will most likely want lunch. Also, St Martin is one of my favorite ports to shop in. You might want to save some time to look around.
missmaine Posted March 9, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted March 9, 2007 Thanks for the advice. I had completely forgotten about lunch. I was afraid the schedule was too tight, now I have to decide which one to drop.
