mnmel Posted March 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2007 I took an upgrade offer for a Dream AB Penthouse suite on our 3/31 cruise (did not tell the family and can't wait to see their reaction when we get to our cabin!). My questions are: 1) What perks are provided? 2) Does this category qualify for the complimentary liquor stocking? 3) What are the sleeping configuration options? I found a virtual tour that shows the master bed and I assume that the sofa unfolds but are there any other beds? My son and daughter have reached the point where they don't like to share a bed. Thanks for all of your responses!
robhawk Posted March 8, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2007 Just got off the Dream 2/24. We also had an upsell from DD to AB Penthouse. We were in Deck 10 Room 0202. The virtual tour is very nice way to see your room. The room is huge. Two big windows looking over the front of the ship. There is a walk in closet, fridge, & DVD player. Perks: Bathrobes Fruit basket Bottle of Champagne Fresh Flowers Daily Afternoon Snack(Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Shrimp Coctail) There is a list of things to choose. I don't know about additional liquor set up. Concierge: Julie will do almost anything for you. Make reservations( best tables where and when you want) VIP Tender for Belize. Excursions DVD's Personal escort off the ship. You name it. Butler service: Roy and Carmen Room service day and night within 10 minutes. They will set up parties for you if you want. There is a queen size bed for parents with curtain that makes it your own room. Couch does pull out into 2 seperate beds. We also have a daughter 16 and son 13 so this worked out well. Hope you have a great cruise. Any question at all you can email me at Democoachrob@verizon.net or thru these boards. Rob
mnmel Posted March 9, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted March 9, 2007 Rob, Thanks so much for your insight; I really appreciate it! A sofa that converts into 2 beds is news to me! Sounds like we are in for a great cruise.
PRNole47 Posted March 9, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 9, 2007 Given the location of the ABs (just next to the pool), does there tend to be a lot of people noise at night?
robhawk Posted March 10, 2007 #5 Share Posted March 10, 2007 Our suite was very quiet. The only sounds were the door that goes out to the deck on a windy night. You can just lock it from the inside. Had no problem with the ship's movement up front either. Rob NCL Dream 2/
