Anyone have any experience buying jewlry in Cozumel or Costa Maya. I'm particularly interested in a diamond eternity band or anniversary ring.

Diamonds International is in Cozumel, don't know about CM. I bought a 3 stone ring and got a great deal. I had my appraiser do another appraisal and he appraised it a lot higher than the store did.

 

Do your homework in local stores so you know if you are getting a good deal. and make sure you are comparing apples to apples as far as the size, the clarity, the flaw level (VS, VS1,etc) and color. If you don't know this info then google it so that you can an idea what you are looking at.

You have a lot of good advice already........one more thing: Understand the value of the "trade in" policy of DI. If you decide to get something a little or a lot better in the future they will allow you to "trade in" whatever you have bought from them in the past. It's an added bit of confidence.

Not sure where you live, but DI has a location in NYC if you need them for anything.
