grammyofjess Posted March 11, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2007 Will be at Doubletree for the nite before we shuttle to NCL Star for cruise. Where is a good place to eat and what is there to do there?
critterchick Posted March 12, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2007 The closest nice restaurant to the Doubletree is 22nd Street Landing, a very nice seafood restaurant. I think the hotel has a shuttle that will take you there - it's not far, but I wouldn't recommend walking in the dark (daytime should be fine). A little further away, on Harbor Blvd, is Ports of Call, which has several nice restaurants, including Acapulco, Simon's and some others that I haven't eaten at, LOL. If you want to take a cab, there are plenty of nice places to eat in San Pedro, depending on what kind of food you like - Greek, Italian, steak, California cuisine, etc. Or you could go wild and take a cab to Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, which is only about 10-15 minutes away by car. teddycruzr Posted March 12, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2007 Has anyone had dinner or breakfast at the hotel's restaurant? Can you recommend it or should we go "out"? We will be staying there next month. Thanks!
calliecat Posted August 6, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 6, 2008 According to the Doubletree website, the complimentary shuttle is only during the week. Is there somewhere within walking distance to eat breakfast on a Saturday morning other than the hotel?
Wineaux Posted August 6, 2008 #5 Share Posted August 6, 2008 What kind of food are you looking for? Lot's of great restaurants in San Pedro. Port's O call Restaurant, Acapulco, Whale and Ale, San Pedro Brewing Company, 6th Street Bistro, Beach City Grill, Trani's, Copper Room, Rafaello's, 22nd Street Landing, Senfuku. For breakfast near the Doubletree you could go to Rex's Cafe at the intersection of 22nd and Pacific Ave..about 3/4 of a mile from the DT
Putterdude Posted August 6, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 6, 2008 We found the DTI's breakfast to be very good, they have and exellent breakfast buffet or you can order from the menu. The dinner was average...ok but average. Their dining area is a bit limited so be prepared for a wait to get in. We found the dinner at 22nd Ave. Landing to be extremely good, it is a seafood based menu, here is a link for your convenience: http://www.22ndstlandingrestaurant.com/
