Victory Review Canada 7/26 Part 1

I'll do the best I can with this review. My two girlfriends and I left our husbands and kids for the 5 day sail in honor of my friends 50th birthday. None of us had ever been on a Carnival cruise before. We arrived at the pier at about 12:15 pm. We pulled right up in front, grabbed a copy of the manifest laying around (we had booked 8A guarantee so we needed to put our cabin # on our tags), loaded too much luggage onto a porters cart, tipped the guy and walked into the terminal. Waited on line for our picture to be taken, waited on another line to receive our SAil and Sign card, waited on another line to board the ship. We walked onto the ship at approx. 1:00pm...painless. We made our way to our cabin #7243 and opened the door and yipee it was a suite...

wet bar, dressing area, two closets, jacuzzi tub. We were so psyched. By the way, my # on the back of my cruise doc sail and sign card did not match the cabin we were given.

First thing we did was give our room steward Felix a tip to start the week. He was very nice and we had everything we asked for the whole week. We told him we had a late dinner seating so not to make up the room till after that...asked for extra blankets and towels...asked for ice etc. no problem with anythig.

After that we headed up to the spa to book massages for the following day at sea. We booked for around 4:00pm allowing us enough time to sun and fun before heading to spa.

Then we went to dining room and switched our large table of 8 to private booth for just us. We were very happy that we did that.

Finally off to main pool area for sun and food and our first drink!!! YEah!!!

It was overcast but still warm.

BAck to cabin at about 5:00 for our life jackets and then to the drill. Thought I would faint from the heat and crowd but didn't.

BAck to room to relax before 8:00 dinner. Food was very tasty and we enjoyed our servers and our nearby table couples.

We spent a lot of time at the Irish Sea Piano Bar (great piano player and sing along) and the Adriatic Lounge (lively dance band...we danced

every night) My one complaint on the whole cruise was that it was a bit smoky in the bars and casino at night. I am asthmatic and at times, would have stayed in a bar/casino longer but physically couldn't.
