karen sharpe Posted March 13, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2007 We are sailing in 86 days on the Grand and the booking of shore excursions remains unavailable. I have never waited this long on previous Princess cruises. I called the 1 800 # and the rep didn't know anything in particular but said there is a window of posting it between 75 -120 days pre sail. He could not give a specific date , told me to check the site daily. I find this approach rather disconcerting ... Has anyone else had a similar issue re excursion booking?? Toto2Kansas Posted March 13, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2007 Different itinerays show up at different times. We have seen the excursions avilable as far out as several months for upcoming cruises, while others don't become available until about 60 days from sailing. All you can do is to keep checking or wait until you get that email from Princess (which is usually several days to a week after they become available) telling you they are open for booking. spongerob Posted March 14, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2007 I know it gets more and more difficult to be patient, but this is fairly normal. We've had them open quite late, and sometimes very early - in one case, more than 6 months ahead of time. It depends on the itinerary.
