Rome Terminal to Colosseum - Time?

Recommended Posts

I really think you will be pushing the limit there - the train ride is 15 min , then the wait in line etc. at the colleseum there are guides there and they have tours every 30 min or so

Our train was scheduled to arrive at the Termini at 9:20 as well .... but was 10 minutes late. It's a bit of a hike within the Termini to get to the subway (allow 5-10 minutes to get oriented and walk to the subway). Line B to the Colosseo stop puts you right outside the Colosseum. (We were there by 10 a.m.)

You can probably get there by 9:45 if the train from Civitavecchia runs on schedule, but you'll need extra time to buy tickets at Palatine Hill.

If you do make it..why walk up to the Palatine entrance to buy tickets and then have to hurry back to the Colosso...just buy your tickets there..they are good for both.I think you will be pushes for time, but they give tours every 20/30 minutes during the busy season so you should be fine.
