Hairdryers on Celebrity Century CC Class

This is a silly, but important question for the ladies...

Each time we have sailed Conceirge Class on Celebrity, they have provided a full size, salon style hairdryer in our stateroom. On the newly referbished Century, do the rooms still offer this with CC class? I couldn't find this info on the list of goodies. Could someone please ease my mind and packing and advise. Thanks! :)

It has been my experience in CC that - in addition to the hair dryer provided that is attached to the wall - there is a second, and much more powerful dryer, located underneath the sink (in the cabinet).

I'm confident that this will also be the case on the newly-refurbished Century.:)

I was just on the Century, in CC and yes, there is a regular hair dryer in the cabinet under the sink. 1250 watts, I think. I'd brought a travel dryer, but at 1850 watts, it exceeded what you're supposed to use on the ship (I think 1500 watts) so I left it in my bag...not worth taking the chance.

Is this true? This is the first time I've ever heard (or read) of a wattage restriction on board a ship. I will be going on my 4th cruise in May and have always brought my 1850-watt HD in the past.

Can any one else confirm and/or document this?

When we were in a CC class on Infinity, our cabin had two hairdryers (the wall mounted one, which was pretty useless and a regular, stronger one that was under the counter. I used the stronger one and it worked great.

We'll be in a Sky Suite on Century in a couple of weeks. Do they offer the two hairdryers as well? Or is it just the wall mounted one?

I have very long, thick hair and the hair dryers they provide are worthless. I have to bring my "Yellowbird" and the plugs, on M Class ships, handle it perfectly. The hand held hairdryers in CC rooms and suites are fine for people with short or thin hair, but if you have thick hair, bring your own dryer.

I was on Millie in 6136 (great cabin with great balcony). The extra hairdryer was available but no plug....the outlet that would have worked was half-covered by the desk. Luckily I have very thick but short hair and managed just fine without it. I was recently in a Century Suite on Century and no extra hairdryer was provided. I find relaxing on the balcony with a cocktail in my robe for ten minutes or so dries it sufficiently that I can then style with the wall mount with no problem:cool: . Have fun!

It was in the binder of info on the desk in the cabin. Maybe someone who's cruising before you can double check it for you. I have long, thick hair, and it was a drag, but I didn't want to end up causing a problem.

Maybe they could have even/odd hours for hair drying. Even numbered cabins on even hours and odd numbered cabins on odd hours.
