travellgirl Posted March 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2007 I have a clothing question. We have been to churches in Italy and know you cannot enter wearing shorts or sleeveless tops. I wanted to know if these all true throughout other places in Europe, mainly Spain and Portugal. My husband will need to wear pants on those days and I wouldn't wear sleeveless tops with capris or skirts. I'm starting to get my clothes ready for our May cruise and I'm really really trying not to overpack (don't think that will work though). I would appreciate any help and thoughts. Thanks. Rare carlmm Posted March 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2007 Yes, in other European countries it is also considered appropriate to enter churches with decent clothes only. I think you have the right idea, knees and shoulders covered is a good basic guideline.
travellgirl Posted March 16, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted March 16, 2007 Thank you. Thought this would be the case, but it's better to check.
