Where's the San Juan Nightlife on Mon/Tues

Booked our first cruise departing from San Juan & decided to stay a couple of nights after the cruise- May 7 & 8 (Mon & Tues). We wanted to experience the nightlife in old San Juan (heard there was more than in Condado & Isla Verde), but looks like the clubs are closed on Mon/Tues? We like DJ style clubs- or even lounges- but will we disappointed if we get ready to go out & find nowhere to go? For those of you who stayed in San Juan on a Mon/Tues, where did you go for nightlife?

We did not stay on Mon/Tues. but this link gives alot of great information about nightlife. It's a "gay" link, but it's got fantastic stuff.

This place was awesome also and has some great theme nights during the week. Their restaurant "Tangerine" was outstanding and very trendy.

Tuesday night you can go to almost any club. Cafe Bohemio in El Convento in Old San Juan opens after 11:00PM. Candela in the Calle San Sebastian is also open on Tuesday night at 8:00PM. When I went last year, we were there on a Monday night. However, I went bar hopping to several bars I used to frequent when I lived in Puerto Rico(my husband doesn't like dance clubs). If you don't mind a hole-in-the-wall with a very colorful owner and a great juke box that has all sorts of oldies, head to El Batey in the Calle Cristo near El Convento Hotel. There are several bars in that street as well as in the Calle San Sebastian that are open on Monday. Rumba is a dance club located on Calle San Sebastian, but I am not sure if they are open on Mondays. Babylon, a very popular dance club, is located at the Wyndham hotel in Isla Verde. I am not sure if they are open Monday either, but you may be able to call the Wyndham and find out. I would also recommend that you get their phone numbers online and contact the clubs to find out which ones are open on Monday.

Hope you have lots of fun!
