greatuncle Posted March 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2007 We need to get from the tender drop off place in Bora Bora (from the TP) to the Novotel Beach Resort to join our sunset catamaran cruise. Does anyone know if taxis are available and what the cost might be please? Many thanks for any info you may have. Peter
fishman620 Posted March 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2007 I don't know how much it will cost you to go the the Novotel but there are taxis available at the dock. We split a taxi with another couple and toured the whole island it cost us $35 each couple.
HRHMadonna Posted March 19, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2007 How long was your taxi tour of Bora Bora? Half-day? All day? Was the tour narrated? Did you have many stops (i.e. photo ops) along the way? Thanks!
realproperty Posted March 19, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2007 It took 2 hours including a few stops. There is really very little to see on these islands and the islands are small. 2 hours was just fine. As for narration, these are not sophisticated tours, just a driver taking you around and telling you a bit of history and showing you where Marlon Brando lived and you will get to stop at Bloody Mary's which (after reading all of the posts) is anti-climactic unless you are still in high school. The island is pretty but unless you get out on the water, there is little to see. The town where the dock is is worth about 20 minutes tops so don't expect to wander the town for an afternoon's activity. Arrange excursions.
