Monarch Outside Cabins

I have the oppertunity to get cabin 6000 which faces the front of the ship on the Monarch. Anyone been in this cabin? Stay away or go for it? RCCL has no clue about it versus regular outside cabins. Also is deck 7 a bad place to be?

Deck 6 has a jogging track above it and you will hear thunderous rumble at all times of day and night. Also, you will feel more pitching up and down at the front of the ship. Although that cabin is classified as an oceanview, the only real view you have is of the bow. See attached picture. My suggestion... just say NO!

 

Deck 7 is worse. People can look right into your cabin.

We have stayed several times on deck 7, and it is generally quiet. We stay as far forward as possible on this trip, because there are very few party people that will end up walking (and talking/yelling) past your cabin.

 

Only thing about deck 7...you have to keep your curtains closed, as people strolling the deck will be able to see in after dark.

We were on Deck 8 last weekend in Room #8030 and thought it was in a great location. You can see the windows above Deck 7 in Mojavemommy's photo. I would also avoid staying on Deck 7.

Great!, Thanks for the tips. We are in 5078. Looks ok to me. There was deck 6 and Deck 7 but...

Deck 5 should be just fine. Been there before with no problems. Easy acccess to main atrium.
