Beaches

We are going on the Conquest on September 12 and I was wondering if there are any beaches within walking distance of the ship. My husband can't be in the tropical sun much so doesn't want to go to see the beach and I don't want to take a cab alone, so I was wondering if there are any beaches I could walk to for a shor time. Thanks.

The only port I can tell you about right offhand is Cozumel...and no, there are no beaches near the pier. Maybe some of the other ports?

 

About taking a cab alone. I've done that several times, and had no problem. I'm usually a solo cruiser (female), and it doesn't bother me at all to grab a cab and go wherever I want to go.

 

A thought for you to consider: Maybe you could go to the cab stand and ask other passengers (going to wherever you want to go) if you could share their cab and pay half the fare?
